B’fhéidir gurb é an píosa féaraigh leathnádúrtha is sine agus is fairsinge san Eoraip agus suíomh an scannáin ‘Braveheart’, is áit siúlóide móréilimh é do mhuintir na háite agus do chuairteoirí araon.
The Curragh is much more than a premier racecourse, its Irelands largest, finest, and possibly only example of a surviving ancient lowland unenclosed grassland. With a 5,000 acre stretch of walkways from Kildare Town to Newbridge, the Curragh offers expansive walkways to explore and while you are ambling through the lush grasslands, visitors can stop off at the Military Museum located in the Curragh.
Steeped in history and folklore, with the open plains, walkers can set off in any direction and for those who enjoy an early morning ramble you can marvel at thoroughbred horses riding out on the gallops. Access from Kildare town, Newbridge or the Curragh Camp.
